The use of lightweight concrete industrially has started in the world since the early twentieth century, but unfortunately its practical application in our country, despite its many benefits, has not yet expanded and requires a proper culture. In this article, while introducing lightweight structural concrete, the rules of regulations related to structural design by structural lightweight concrete will be examined. Then, the first reinforced concrete building in the country, which is introduced with the technology of light structural concrete, which was built under the supervision of the authors. Due to the low experience of using these materials in structural components and the lack of some issues in national regulations, it is necessary to consider the valid regulations of other countries in addition to national building regulations in the use of lightweight structural concrete.
